Mulder & Scully investigate weird things, as always. However dated it is in places its a real easy watch. If you’re an X Files fan its awesome, if you’re not its still not a bad movie at all.

7/10 – switch on, sit back and think of nothing

Okay so Charlotte, Mummy2 and Bigs didn’t think much to it but I really enjoyed it. Its deliberately awkward and very very funny. Great cast, great plot, just great.

8/10 – for people who like slow movies with awkward humour.

Films are made or broken by their endings, unfortunately Mirrors was broken by its ending.  Its a really intriguing film throughout, quite intense, quite spooky and Kiefer (while I will always call him ‘Jack’) was very convincing.

7/10 – would’ve been higher if it hadn’t let itself down.

For me, its a very comedic film but not a laugh-out-loud movie.  There are lots of funny little things about the film (including Tom Cruise who I didn’t see until the second time he appeared) and its well worth a watch but my sides weren’t split, not even slightly torn.

7/10, you will smile throughout.

You know, its not a great film but its very watchable.  Some of the gore is really well done and the cast aren’t too bad.  Its super cheesey but the look and feel of the film is really well put together.  Its set in the future but looks very much like the past.  Of course you have Sean Pertwee and Ron Perlman so instantly it has to be good, oh and mutants with a long and pointy arm, oh and pointless scenes.

7/10, maybe not one to buy, but certainly one to watch with the brain firmly switched to ‘vacant’.

Brilliant… just utterly brilliant.  Action that you really feel, they certainly aren’t shy with the violence and its how it should be.  Neeson is thoroughly enjoyable to watch and the pain he deals out is fantastic.  REALLY worth watching, a few times over, even if its just to see heads getting smashed into things.

9/10, wow.

The version we watched was the 30th Anniversary addition that has added scenes.  Scenes that were filmed recently and added in to try and… well I’m not sure what they were supposed to have achieved.  Ignoring the rubbish new scenes the film is great, its dated, wooden, cheesy but thats half the fun. 60’s zombies certainly aren’t a patch on todays zombies but its still good fun.

7/10, own it if you are a zombie fan

Very Tim Burton.  Its actually a very sad movie, I’d forgotten about that.  Its quaint, quirky and decidedly dark.

7/10, a good Sunday afternoon flick

Having never seen an of the originals (shock horror I know) I can’t really compare it but I enjoyed it.  Samuel L Jackson versus Christian Bale works well, they work well together… or opposed, however you want to spell it out.  Busta Rhymes puts in a pretty good performance too.  Its a crime thriller extravaganza, its slick, its funny, its full of action, twists and turns.

Well worth the £2.99 I paid. 7/10.

Never have I been filled with as much excitement and fear as when this movie was announced.  The animated movie was and is amazing and the live-action movie had to do a lot to impress.  And it did, taking aside some of the awful cheese, it was very impressive overall.  Great special effects, sound effects and action scenes. Watching the transformers transforming is breathtaking, even if you are not a fan watch it for that alone.

9/10, can’t wait for the sequel
