Disturbing, thought-provoking and a very enjoyable film.  The plot is very engaging and its performed very well by the cast.  Check the alternate ending on the DVD, possibly one of the only alternate endings I’ve ever seen that I think they should have gone with.

Worth at least two watches. 8/10

Jodi Foster has some surprise sex thrown at her and is keen to punish the surprisers.  Quite graphic in places, very dated (although it was in 80’s so I guess thats okay) but not a bad watch.  Its pretty much a courtroom drama and a good old ‘did they/didn’t they’ kind of affair but it works quite well.

Watch it on a backward channel late at night, 6/10.

Quaint, quirky, awkward and mildly entertaining.  Having not seen it for a very long time I was expecting to be bored silly but it was relatively painless, in fact it was quite charming and made me giggle a good few times.

Love it because its British and so very 90’s… 7/10

Best of the bunch, well, obviously the fourth one looks pretty damn fantastic but I haven’t seen it yet so Tokyo Drift is the best of the bunch I’ve seen.  Great cheesyness, wonderfully odd looking people (including snake-girl, she is brilliant) and just enough drifting to please the fans out there.  Okay, so actual drifters may hate this film but who cares right?  The only let down is that our (Rupee, Charlotte & I’s) favourite line from the trailer was, “You ain’t in control, unless you outa control” but it wasn’t in the movie.

Plain good fun, 8/10.

Well, this weekend Charlotte and I watched a slightly husky woman singing, strapping men toss each other about, a magician stripping, a lady Miss Behaving, a swinger, a woman who truly knows how to shake it and the campest man ever camping it up… oh and we saw performers at La Clique in London.

Seriously, it was an awesome night, the ‘performers’ were weird and wonderful (well, I wasn’t too keen on the singing lady) and some of it was undoubtedly jaw-dropping stuff.  There are clips everywhere on the web but I’d suggest you go and see for yourself, in the flesh, especially if you want to see a nude lady and not have it classed as cheating.

Ridiculous… entertaining but ridiculous.  Luckily, its ridiculousness is deliberate but that doesn’t make it better.  Expect lots of swearing, lots of gore (some well done, some rubbish), really REALLY cheesy dialogue and action and lots of famous faces to boot.  A must for zombie fans, a must for Bruce Willis fans but not a must for people who want to see a great movie.

Watch it knowing what you are getting yourself into. 7/10 (only because I’m a Bruce and zombie fan).

Good fun.  Four middle-ages men have a joint mid-life crisis and go on a road trip and get into some sticky situations along the way.  Great performances from an all star cast (including Martin Lawrence who is not his usual annoying self) that will make you giggle throughout, especially William H Macy and John C McGingley.

If you want to smile then watch this movie. 7/10

Amusing little film, its silly, its cheesy and lovable throughout.  A bunch of ’superheroes’ (with mockable talents) must band together to stop a crazed villain.  Its Ben Stiller being Ben Stiller, William H Macy being as funny as ever, Hank Azaria being British, Pee Wee Herman being stinky and many other actors doing other things of course.

If you aren’t a fan of silly comedy then this isn’t for you.  If you are then you’ll love this, its just that simple.

I own it… doesn’t make it a good film though I guess. 7/10

Loved it the first few times around but not as much recently.  Its still a very good movie with great performances, thrilling action scenes and a solid storyline but its just not fresh anymore for me.  Well worth repeat watching for some of the fight scenes.

Thumbs up. 8/10

Is there anything cooler than chopping and sawing wood with a friend?  Yes, afterwards having a cup of tea and homemade mince pies in front of a roaring log fire.  Oh wait, then go and see “Defiance” at the cinema (only after stuffing yourself silly with a giant burger, chicken wings and loaded potato skins), then chill out watching “Bear Eats” (watching a man drink water from elephant dung is always amusing), then eat far too much food at a local pub, then (while still extremely full of food) watch Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles late into the night.

Thank you for a lovely weekend Big E.
